Woman, 18, dies in London police raid plunge
An 18-year-old woman has died after plunging from the 17th floor of a tower block as police raided a flat in south-east London.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The incident has been referred to police watchdog the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) Directorate of Professional Standards (DPS) is also investigating.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Shortly after the officers entered the flat, a woman, who is believed to be 18, fell from a bedroom window on the 17th floor.
"She was pronounced dead at the scene. We await formal identification. A post-mortem will be scheduled in due course."
